Panel to probe alleged Loei police savings cooperative fraud

National police chief Pol General Chakthip Chaijinda has ordered a probe into the case of some 200 Loei-based policemen accusing a former provincial police chief of misappropriating Bt229 million from the Loei Provincial Police Savings Cooperative, police spokesman Pol Colonel Krissana Pattanacharoen said.
Panel to decide today on controversial Doi Suthep project

A DECISION on the controversial court housing project in Doi Suthep has been postponed to today after the Court of Justice again denied access to the project site yesterday amid clamour by opposition groups to demolish all buildings that encroached on forestland.
The anti-corruption panel investigating the luxury watch scandal involving Deputy Prime Minsiter General Prawit Wongsuwan will submit the results of its preliminary inquiry to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) next week. This follows a letter of clarification submitted to the panel by the general.
